Munnar
Situated at altitudes over 5000 Ft, this is indeed your ideal hill station and the convergence of the three rives ie: Mudrapuzha, Nallathani and Kundala is just another mind-blowing bonus you get to see there. An early summer resort of the one time British Government in South India this place is very popular amongst the tourists for its picture perfect view, huge tea plantations and last but not the least the Anamudi which is the tallest mountain peak in South India (2695m).
Wayanad
Wayanad lies nestled cozily amidst the mountains of Western Ghats at an altitude over 700 m. Derived from the word Vaylnadu in Malayalam the name of this place means land of paddy fields. The district is famous for its spice products such as pepper and cardamom. The major tourist attractions include The Edackal Caves , the ancient caves of Ambukuthy hills, the Wayanad wildlife sanctuary which forms a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere reserve and the Pookat lake all of which ofcourse forms only a part of the vast number of tourist spots present in Wayanad
Wagamon
Placed at altitude of about 110m this is indeed the trekkers’ paradise. This place is renown for its scenic beauty and for the wide spans of meadows and valleys that surround it.
Idukki
A haven for the tourists, this is one place in Kerala where nature has bestowed her blessins in plenty. Idukki has been girded with three main rivers ie: Periyar, Thalayar and Thodupuzhayar. The famous Pampa river has its orgins here. Idukki is a place offering a number of tourists’ attractions such as wildlife sanctuaries trekking, elephant rides and so on. This place is also the home to a number of tribes having u nique customs and beliefs.
